I don't want to give too much away about the show, but I will say this: tak's set is incredible and jane's lighting design is spectacular. Let me rephrase that: their collaboration is superb. Tak uses a very modular set with 3 doors on each side, two upstage doors, four sliding doors and and two turntables. It will be magical when it all comes together.

observing les waters
I had the privilege yesterday of observing Les Waters direct - specifically, tech rehearsals of Doris to Darlene by my bud Jordan Harrison.
I know Les - we met when he was in town directing Anne Washburn's APPARITION and he'll be directing TRAGEDY: A TRAGEDY by Will Eno (probably one of my favorite plays) - and I called him to see if he'd let me observe. As a recipient of the NEA/TCG Career Development Program it seemed like a good call, and it was.
Present for the proceedings were Tak Kata (sets), Darren West (sound), and Jane Cox (lights). And Jordan was there in good spirits.
