Juilliard
Off to see my pal Carly Mensch's work-in-progress at juilliard.
I had a very fine time working last year on jess provenz's romantic comedy BETTER THAN CHOCOLATE.
Its a great thing to work with the eager and accommodating students, willing to take enormous risks. All the while, working on a new play.
No idea how far carly has taken this new one. If I were her, and I am not, I bet I'd be distracted by the gig at humana.
Speaking of which, I got my tix for both humana and from los angeles.
Just have to take care of the rental car in l.a.

Lady, braly, l.a. times
I am really pleased with how james's show is shaping up. We had a production mtg yesterday and it will be a very modest looking set (a platform, a chair, a glass of water) and I think that's right. All it needs to be. There seems to be a cliché about "getting out of the way" of a performer. But I'd like to think of it more of a director creating a path of least resistence for a performer.
Re-read Craig Wright's LADY today. The folks down at asolo's Notes have been helpful though I may be able to work through more of the thoughts when I meet with craig in march.
Bought my flight to humana yesterday so I will definitely be going. Yay. Excited to see works by carly and blessing
Had an interview with charlotte stoudt of Ojai fame for No child and LA TIMES. Its incredible really - two years ago we were about to start rehearsing.
