Third preview - braly

James is really coming into his own. He is really relaxed up there. We've refined the opening so that he is just talking to the audience, saying hi, in effect relaxing himself - easing into his relationship with the audience. I do very much love the reaction to the tale of the placenta.

Technically, I feel that we are close. Each of the stories should have its own identifying look and I guess its getting there. I like how we've outlined the hospice.

Somehow the spotlight cue got captured in a cue and then persisted throughout the first 15 minutes. I was so puzzled that it was pretty hard for me to focus those early minutes. James was thrown - as he is supposed to come out in darkness and did not. He recovered quickly and didn't notice the strangeness of the lights.

Ah - its so hard sometimes. You spend hours and hours making something look crisp and then in an instant it's gone.

Ah the ephemeral nature of il teatro.
