Open rehearsal

Last night's dress rehearsal of LIFE went well. Note to self: don't do preshow announcements. I mean, have them. Just don't go onstage and utter them if it can be avoided. One less thing to worry about...

James did well for having his first audience. He seemed to be withholding himself a little and he knows this. For the piece to fire on all cylinders he's got to have that excitement, that fire, that charm in telling this story for the first time. This effect is often generated with that charming little laugh, he felt so determined to avoid.

Anyway, tonight there is supposed to be a decent sized house. And what this piece needs now is an audience.
