Turns out the old man peed himself. Did not crap himself. Still doesn't quite account for all the disgust - but I guess urine still could make someone gag. Or rather, someone else's urine could make someone gag.

I am sure others could share their theatrical horror stories. Two come to mind. The genocidal antisemitic polish woman at the pain and the itch. And the night that two people screamed out during the dark part of thom pain.
